Privacy Policy

Last updated October 8, 2026

We built Sportsnar to show you sport, not to collect information about you. This page explains, in plain language, the little we do collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Sportsnar (sportsnar.com) is an independent cricket and football website operated from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. When this policy says “we” or “us”, it means Sportsnar. For anything about your privacy, write to privacy@sportsnar.com.

What we collect when you visit

Basic technical logs. Like almost every website, our server records standard information each time a page is requested: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, your browser type and the page that sent you here. We use these logs to keep the site secure, stop abuse and fix things that break. They are kept only as long as we need them for those purposes and are never sold.

No tracking cookies. Reading Sportsnar doesn’t place advertising or tracking cookies on your device. The only cookies the site sets are for people who log in to manage it.

No third-party trackers. Our fonts and images are served from our own server, so your visit isn’t reported to font or image services. Live scores are fetched by our server, not your browser, so our sports data provider never sees who you are.

At the moment we don’t run advertising or third-party analytics. If that changes, we will update this page before anything goes live, and where the law requires it we’ll ask for your consent first.

What we collect when you contact us

If you email us, we keep your message, your email address and anything you choose to include, so that we can reply and keep a record of corrections and requests. We don’t add you to a mailing list or use your email for marketing.

How we use information

We use the information above only to:

  • run the site and keep it secure,
  • reply to you and act on corrections or requests, and
  • meet our legal obligations.

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone except the companies that help us run the site (such as our hosting provider), who may only use it to provide that service to us, or where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

Server logs are deleted on a rolling basis once they are no longer needed for security and troubleshooting. Emails are kept for as long as they’re useful for the conversation or for our record of corrections, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the UK and EU GDPR, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the UAE’s Personal Data Protection Law give you rights over your information. In short, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you,
  • correct it if it’s wrong,
  • delete it, or
  • stop using it.

Write to privacy@sportsnar.com and we’ll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Sportsnar is a general audience sports site. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children, and if you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Links to other sites

Our articles sometimes link to clubs, governing bodies and other publications. Their privacy practices are their own, so it’s worth checking their policies when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date below. For anything significant, we’ll make the change clear on the site.

Questions? Our contact page has every address, and our terms of use cover the rest of how the site works.
