Corrections
Last updated October 8, 2026
Getting things right matters to us more than almost anything else on this site. When we get something wrong, we want to fix it quickly and be honest that we did.
How to tell us
Email corrections@sportsnar.com with:
- the link to the page,
- what you think is wrong, and
- what you believe is correct, with a source if you have one.
You don’t need to be certain. If something looks off, we’d rather check it than leave it.
What happens next
A person reviews every report, usually the same day and always within two working days. If we’ve made a mistake, we fix it as soon as we’ve confirmed the right information.
Factual errors in an article, such as a wrong score, date, name, statistic or quote, are corrected, and we add a short note at the end of the article saying what changed and when. For example: “Correction, 12 October: an earlier version of this article said the match was in Perth. It was in Adelaide.”
Small slips that don’t change the meaning, like a typo or a broken link, are fixed without a note.
Significant errors that change what a story is about are corrected at the top of the article, not tucked away at the bottom.
We never quietly change the substance of a story and pretend it was always that way.
Live scores and statistics
Live scores and match data come from our licensed data provider and update automatically. If a score or statistic looks wrong, it is often corrected at the source within minutes, and our pages update on their own. If it’s still wrong after that, please let us know at corrections@sportsnar.com and we’ll chase it.
Updates that aren’t corrections
Stories change as sport happens. When we add new information to an article, such as a confirmed team sheet or a post-match quote, we show when the article was last updated. That isn’t a correction, just the story moving on.
